On Wednesday 13^th December, years 3 and 4 were lucky enough to watch the opening show of the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk at Catford Broadway Theatre. After some technical issues, the show got underway with an enthusiastic and loud school audience! The children joined Jack, his mum (a very lovely pantomime dame!), and their cow Caroline in their adventure to save the Kingdom of Lewishfarm from the Giant Egred and his evil henchman Boris the lying cockroach (who bore an uncanny resemblance to a certain disgraced ex-Prime Minister!) For many children this was their first experience of the theatre and they loved getting involved – did they have a good time… OH YES THEY DID!
