Remote Learning

We understand that it is a difficult time for everybody and that school closure, for any length of time,  is not ideal. Keeping a learning routine at home will be vital to ensuring your child is able to continue with their education and remain in line with their peers when they return to school.

To support you with this we have worked with our subject leaders to plan extended tasks across most subject areas including hyperlinks to online learning websites.

We have advised on the amount of time to spend on each subject across the week. Whilst this may not always be possible, please do try to encourage your child to dedicate time to their studies each day. During this time teachers that are well will continue to support and monitor the work pupils complete online and give feedback where possible.

We have devised a new remote learning timetable and have moved to online learning platforms which, we hope,  will be easier for you to navigate and enable your child to have contact with their teachers more frequently. These are clearly explained under the Primary and Secondary tabs.  Whilst it may not always be possible to stick to this timetable, please do try to encourage your child to dedicate time to their studies each day. During school closure teachers that are well will continue to support and monitor the work pupils completed online and give feedback where possible.

Seneca , BBC Bitesize and Oak Academy have fabulous free resources on every subject and are engaging and interactive. You may want to even learn with your child at home!

Keeping fit!- We would encourage all pupils to stay healthy and exercise every day- a healthy body leads to a healthy mind! Please find links to online exercise activities from Mr Goksel and the PE team in the secondary tab.  Our teachers will be setting plenty of tasks for pupils to get stuck into over the summer term. Do remind your child to take breaks away from screens as well, and also make time for having fun and connecting with friends and family.
