Fresh from the very successful Christmas Carol concert to the parents, year 4 went for a festive sing-a-long with the residents of Rectory Court Care Home on Friday morning. Despite giving all for the performance on the previous day, year 4 rose to the occasion magnificently once more – belting out such classics as Hark the Herald Angel, Love Shone Down, Joy to the World, Mary’s Boy Child and the ever-popular, Feliz Navidad! The children sang beautifully and even managed the parts of songs that they had not performed previously. Understandably, the audience was in raptures, joining in and really getting in the Christmas spirit. Afterwards, many of them commented on how well our children sang as well as how polite and well behaved they were, year 4 made us proud and were a credit to St Matthew Academy.
