Record breaking GCSE results at St Matthew Academy!

Year 11 pupils at St Matthew Academy are celebrating the highest GCSE results in the academy’s history, marking a landmark achievement for the Class of 2026. The exceptional cohort performance reflects outstanding academic growth, dedication, and ambition across all subject areas.

 

Demonstrating high academic standards across the board, an incredible 31 pupils secured seven or more top grades (Grades 7–9). Headline statistics for the year group highlight remarkable attainment across core subjects:

76% of pupils achieved a Grade 4 or above in both English and Mathematics.

54% of pupils achieved a Grade 5 or above in both English and Mathematics.

22% of pupils achieved a Grade 7 or above in both English and Mathematics.

 

The academy proudly highlights the following pupils who achieved top-tier Grade 7–9 outcomes across their subject portfolios:
