“Make Art - Everyone Is an Artist!”
Our Year 5 students recently enjoyed a truly inspiring art workshop led by parent governor Martina Maurer. Martina shared her deep passion for art and spoke about the lasting influence of her father-in-law - a talented artist who has drawn every single day since the age of 16. Specializing in traditional painting and watercolours, his dedication beautifully illustrates how creativity can be woven into everyday life.
During the session, Martina showcased a wonderful collection of artwork created by herself and her family, sparking curiosity and admiration among the students. The children were especially surprised to discover that doodling - something they often do without thinking - is also a genuine form of art! Through playful exploration of lines and shapes, Martina encouraged them to see how even the simplest sketches can grow into expressive, interpretive creations.
The workshop left everyone feeling inspired, confident, and eager to keep creating.
A heartfelt thank you to Martina Maurer for sharing her time, talent, and artistic spirit with our Year 5s!
