Opening in September 2007 the St Matthew Academy is a new, mixed, Roman Catholic, Academy. Specialising in Business and Enterprise this new, independent, Academy will provide excellent resources for teaching and learning for children aged 3 to 16.

Congratulations to everyone who submitted ideas for the newsletter naming competition. The winner with ‘SMArt News’ was Gassimu Jalloh 11M. Gassimu explained that talent and investment were the words used in our first assembly. To succeed you have to be smart and in Business Studies lessons we have learnt about ‘SMART’ targets. As we are a Business and Enterprise Academy called SMA (St Matthew Academy) a good title for our newsletter is SMArt!
