Why our parents love SMA

“Two years on and the girls are doing really well – How could they not! The diversity of experiences continue to become richer each year and the quality of education is excellent. We think that SMA is an amazing school with warm staff that truly care and a programme of events that provide the whole SMA community; parents, children and staff, with the opportunity to participate in. You will not find another school that has the heart and soul that SMA does.”

"My child started in reception with delayed speech and language and she has blossomed, her speech has improved, her communication skills have improved and so has her confidence. She has a great teacher who knows her well and has supported her to make great progress. I am very happy."

Both my children love school and enjoy their lessons; they have excellent relationships with their teachers. SMA is the reason that I moved my children from their previous school as I knew that they would develop both academically and socially. A key strength of the school is the communication between parents and teachers and the fact that we all work together to build a strong community. As parents, we love supporting the school in all the events that they have and feel passionate about creating positive communication with the staff. It is the teachers that make the school what it is. You really do take a piece of SMA wherever you go.

"Kyla really enjoys attending school and interacting with her friends. The teachers have been amazing and are always encouraging Kyla to do her best. I couldn’t be happier as a parent knowing the standard of teaching Kyla is receiving."

We first spoke to mum when Kyla was in Year 1, now Kyla is in Year 3 and continuing to flourish. ‘Kyla loves this school and we have built great relationships with the staff which is really nice for us as parents. The school has a really friendly community and there are lots of workshops and activities for parents to get involved with. Kyla loves reading and using the library and we all enjoy coming into school on Fridays to read with our children. The children are really well-disciplined and take great pride in their learning and are encouraged by staff to work hard and be good human beings. SMA is where the joy is; both in the classroom and in all the enrichment activities on offer.’

“Rory started school  and we were surprised how quickly he was able to read and write. St Matthews are very keen to involve parents in the children’s learning and there is a reading morning every Friday in Bumblebee class. We’re very pleased with Rory’s progress at St Matthews so far and feel included in his education there every step of the way!”

“Kymora has settled in well and is always excited to come home and tell me about her day, she has loved and enjoyed school from her first day.”
