Film Camp at SMA

During the October break, the Year 8 & 9 Media and Communications scholars participated in a film camp in which they learned about silent comedy films of 1910s-1920s. It began by looking at short films by Charlie Chapman and Buster Keaton to understand the conventions and staples of genre. They then pitched their own highly entertaining ideas and worked in groups to plan, film and edit their silent comedy films. The camp was hugely successful and was enjoyed by all who attended.
