Year 9 pupils are awarded a First!

2018-2019 saw pupils participate in The Brilliant Club’s Scholarship Programme

On Saturday, 18th June, our Year 9 Brilliant Club pupils graduated from their course with flying colours!

The final session of their course – looking into the fascinating topic of phantom limb syndrome with Dr Monika Loewy and was followed by a graduation ceremony in front of proud parents and teachers at King’s College, London. Our pupils deserved their accolades and their certificates for completing this undergraduate degree level course. During the ceremony, Mollie Forrest and Luke Stevens addressed the audience about the new insights they had gained during this fantastic opportunity to study at such a high academic level. Both Mollie and Luke spoke with calm authority about their experience and were commended for their speeches.

All the pupils graduated, which is a terrific achievement. Those worthy of particular congratulations are Luke Stevens and Demilade Alabi each graduating with a 1st, and Franklina Sesay, Mollie Forrest and Joseph Ojo each achieving a 2:1. Well done to all twelve pupils who took part.

Currently, we have twelve Year 8 pupils, who are studying issues relating to war and its justification with researcher, Paola Zichi from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies. The graduation event is later this term and we are looking forward to relaying stories of their success very soon. Good luck to all!
