Admissions
The sponsor of the St Matthew Academy is the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark and the academy is designated as a Roman Catholic Academy. The Academy admitted the first pupils to Reception and Year 7 in September 2007.
The admission arrangements for the St Matthew Academy for the year 2008/2009 and, subject to any changes approved by the Secretary of State, for subsequent years are:
The St Matthew Academy has an agreed admission number of 60 pupils in Reception and 120 pupils in Year 7. Applications for Reception and Year 7 should be made through the Local Authority of the applicant using the appropriate coordinated admissions form. Please note all applicants MUST complete a supplementary application form for the appropriate Primary or Secondary phase. (Please link the primary form and secondary form from the words primaryand secondary.) Pupils in Year 6 have the automatic right to transfer to Year 7. The Academy will then admit additional pupils up to the maximum of 180 places available in Year 7.
