The Jack Petchey Award

The Jack Petchey Foundation aims to encourage young people to take advantage of their opportunities and make a positive contribution to society.  Naveen Panwar, a Y11 Mandela student, was nominated by the school.  The Foundation has awarded him a grant of £200 to be spent in our school.  Naveen has decided to spend the grant on GCSE resources for next year’s Year 11.  Well done Naveen and thank you.

FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

On 18th March some of our primary children took part in a 5-a-side football tournament organised by Christ the King College.  Mixed teams of girls and boys played against other local schools.  Our team reached the semi final and final, which both went to penalty shootouts!  It was nail biting to the end but on the third penalty our team won!  Congratulations to Suzanne and the children who took part:
Harry King
Reece Anthony
John Nicolaides
Vanessa Lopez
Shardel Wiggins
Abi Carew
Anna Akinmusire
