Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Qualifying Expedition

22 Year 9 pupils embarked on their DofE Bronze Qualifying Expedition

As part of our enrichment offer, secondary pupils are encouraged to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award; a personal achievement award and scheme that inspires pupils to reach out of their comfort zone in a range of different experiences, resulting in an award highly praised by universities and employers alike. To achieve the Bronze Level Award, pupils are required to participate in volunteering activities within the local community, physical activity and embark on an expedition and the scheme culminates with an award ceremony for all pupils involved.

On the 11th and 12th May, 22 Year 9 pupils embarked on their DofE Bronze Qualifying Expedition in the Farnborough/Biggin Hill area. Pupils were enthusiastic and excited as they navigated 14 hours over the countryside, and were a credit to the school for their outstanding attitude, enthusiasm and participation.

Well done to all involved, we look forward to celebrating with you when you receive the award!
