Enterprising Citizens Week, autumn 2008

A global and international flavoured week was enjoyed by the St Matthew Academy Community in December 2008. A thematic collage of creative activities around the concepts of ‘Active Citizenship’ and ‘Global Entrepreneurship’ led to a wonderful creative and enriching learning experience. The Christian ethos of the school was key in creating a real sense of social, ethical and community awareness that built upon our Inaugural SOCIAL ENTERPISE WEEK in December 2007.

'What creative learning, good citizenship and Enterprise are all about'

Latin Enterprise Week, spring 2007

Ever wondered what 15 ambassadors from Latin America look like? Ever heard the National Argentinean Tango Orchestra? If you were at St Matthew Academy in April 2008 you will be able to answer those questions.

St Matthew students undertook challenges and activities relating to enterprise using the spirit and Inspiration of Latin America. Products, fashion, media, music and dance all with a Latin pulse were fused with enterprising and citizenship related activities in a week of celebration.

'Amazing, inspiring. I am going to cry just thinking about it'
Ambassador, Dominican Republic
