Admissions

St Matthew Academy is a Catholic through school, offering places to children and young people aged 4 to 16. We are sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark.

The Academy has an agreed admission number of 60 pupils in reception and 120 pupils in year 7.  Applications for reception and year 7 should be made through the local authority of the applicant, using the appropriate coordinated admissions form. With effect from September 2010 all school transfers and in-year applications must be made through your local authority of residence.

Please note all applicants MUST complete a supplementary application form for the appropriate primary or secondary phase. The form can be found on the right of this page.

Pupils in year 6 have the automatic right to transfer to year 7.  The Academy will then admit additional pupils up to the maximum of 180 places available in year 7.

For information about applying for admissions, please contact Sandra Smith  (Admissions Officer ) via the switchboard on 020 8853 6250 or email here.

We welcome visits from prospective parents.  If you would like to arrange to visit the school, or have any queries, please telephone the Admissions Officer.
