International enterprise
Last week, 40 of our students participated in a Young Enterprise Olympic Challenge with 80 students from Copenhagen. Last year 15 of the leading enterprise educationalists from Denmark spent a day learning how we do enterprise at St Matthew Academy and the Principal at the Copenhagen school wanted his students to experience it in practice.
The SMA students were amazing and really supported the Danish students during the activities. SMA had Centre of Excellence status with Young Enterprise and this alongside being the best enterprise school in the UK has meant that we are asked to host our North European counterparts. In 2010 it was a delegation from Norway and the Swedish visit is pencilled in for next year.
