Grease - what a song and dance!

Electrifying! That's the only way to describe this year's sell-out production of the greatest high-school musical, Grease.Over 70 students were involved in getting the show on the road - a cast of 40 and loads more backstage and front of house, ensuring Grease was the best show ever put on at St Matthew Academy.

The whole cast performed with great verve and enthusiasm. They looked like they were having a great time and the audience loved every moment!! We were on our feet cheering at the end of the evening. Heidi Alexander, our local MP, was there and she later commented on Twitter, “It was great – I loved the bit when they unfurled the SMA class of 2012 banner! Inspired.” Well done to the cast who worked hard all term rehearsing – you were all stars. The students want to say a big thank you to Mr O’Halloran, Mr James, Ms Moore and all staff who worked so with the students to make the show such a success.
