SMA students at the Precious awards
It was a wonderful experience to be invited to this inspiring event.
Rosemary, Tiya and I went to the Precious Awards 2011, which took place in the St Pancreas Renaissance Hotel.
We were invited by Foluke Akinlose MBE who is the owner of Precious to attend this beautiful event.
We were chosen because we won the Precious T-shirt Competition.
When we arrived at the event we met Jessica Huie, Jessica Elliot, Foluke and Natasha Faith and many others, not forgetting Nick Clegg who wrote a personal letter congratulating the work done by PRECIOUS for the past five years.
We were called up to give a five minute speech, which consisted of thanking the people who are supporting our school, also thanking Mr Nisimloo for the inspiration and determination which he has shown to us all.
What we learnt from this event is that continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP.
