Christ the King students inspire year 9
Twenty four talented students from Christ the King, all studying for their BTEC National in Business Studies, have been giving up their time to mentor and inspire our own BTEC First students as they learn about marketing, by introducing them to their marketing module Brand X, in which students have to develop a complete brand identity for a new-to-market soft drink.
'It's a great experience for our students to have to have to articulate their ideas and work with people they don't know,' says head of Business studies Jason Thomas, who organised the session. 'Our students really appreciated the advice and input from their older colleagues - and it helps them get to grips with the essentials of marketing in a much more real way.'
