Teacher raises charity cash in daredevil abseil
Daredevil Antanelle Regis, art teacher at St Matthew, abseiled from the top of Guy's Tower for local charity Harris HospisCare.
'It was a fantastic feeling to gaze around London from such a height, but I was relieved when I eventually hit the ground.
‘I’ve done small abseils before but never something this high. When I saw an advert from the charity challenging people to the highest abseil in the UK I jumped at the chance. I wanted to raise money for the hospice as my uncle was in one.
'I was terribly nervous, but I loved it – next time I’d like to try skydiving!’
The sponsored abseil has so far raised £12,000 for the Bromley charity which cares for those who are terminally ill.
