Chaplains in the local community
In their role of building and supporting the local community, the Chaplains at St Matthew Academy have been invited to St Columba’s Catholic Boys’ School in Bexleyheath on Wednesday 1 February to attend the commissioning Mass for their new School Lay Chaplain, Fred Umney. We wish Fred every success in his new role and look forward to working together in the near future. All Lay Chaplains of the Archdiocese are in our prayers:
Dear Lord,
Strengthen me, that I may calm others.
Ground me, that I may be peace for others.
Empower me, that I may act where I am.
Humble me, that I may know my need
is always, always to live in You.
